Tried this place on a Friday morning searching for some good Chicken and Waffles. I was here on vacation so I took recommendations to come here. When entering we were seated fairly quickly and given coffee. Our order was taken and within 20 minutes we got our food. The wait seemed long to me but the place was completely packed so I understood. The service was very good. They topped off our coffee without even having to ask. The waffle was very tasty and soft. Syrup and butter excellent. The chicken had a great flavor and seasoned well but the skin was a little too soft for me. I would have liked it to be a little crisper. The next time I am in Dallas I will definitely be back to try the other breakfast options.

Love this place. It's a quaint eating establishment. The hostess very friendly and seated us immediately. We were offered mimosas as we sat but I needed coffee! The coffee was strong and hot, just perfect! The waiter didn't crowd us or rush us. The menu was every simple and you pull up the app with your phone, which I love. After ordering I food came hot and timely. I felt like the portions were perfect, my hubby would definitely love this. For my part I could have split a plate.. I love when a new place surprises you with simple, hot, timely, great portions, adequate pricing and delicious food. Next time I'm bringing more friends!!

Jonathan's is a good brunch spot. During COVID-19 they are practicing social distancing and cleaning tables between customers. The food

Okay. Worth. The. Drive. They have two locations- I went to this one 1111 N Beckley Avenue connected to VH casual dining & bar, right by the light. I don't see why so many people are complaining about limited space when they can drive down the road to the diner. Cons, which I won't hold again their rating because there is a second location: tight parking and it can get crowded. I was sitting reaaally close to the next party- on both sides. Also, It was hard pulling my car into a parking space, and when I was leaving, I was scared I would hit another vehicle as I made my way down the alley. Suggestion: park in the bigger lot and walk up. Just because you can drive doesn't mean the people coming here can. Time: I went in right around 10:15 or so and was out by 11 a.m. Food came out quickly Crowd: Moderate, more people started to come in as it got closer to 11. This was a Friday. Staff: My server was nice and attentive. He wasn't very verbal, but my glass of water never went empty. The host was nice, too. Food: Chicken and waffles, gravy on the side. I drove from out of town to try their chicken and waffle because I heard it's the best, hands down. And, so far, it has been the best chicken and waffle I've put in my mouth. I could cut through the meal mostly with my fork only, but had to use the knife for some thicker parts. The gravy was SO GOOD. I'm coming back for that C&W. Price : $12.45 for my meal. I tipped $5 and still came out cheaper than Social House's C&W meal. I thought I was doing something when I was eating their chicken and waffle. Nope. Try them out. You won't be disappointed!

It was delicious. I got the nooner and my friend got the chicken and biscuits. The waiter was good and our food was better. We had mimosas (apple)... couldn't really taste the apple just the champagne but I'll never complain about that lols. I had a side of strawberries. Very fresh and delicious. I'm not a big beef eater but I'll come back for the nooner again, but I'm trying The Kure next time. Unique menu & a cute little decor. Would definitely be returning.

This location can only accommodate parties with 4 or less. If you have more, try Jonathan's diner up the street. Had brunch here at 10am on a Sunday and yes, it was packed! They also had already ran out of brunch kebabs, bummer. I underestimated people's needs for brunch on Sunday. Parking is confusing but there is plenty of it once you navigate around to the back of the building. Also some street parking if needed. We sat at the bar since there was only two of us and all the staff were super friendly. Again, super bummed they ran out of brunch kebabs, I settled for the chicken salad salad. The chicken salad itself had plenty big pieces of chicken breast, the dressing was divine. The combination of the creamy chicken salad, the crunch of the almonds, the sweet from the berries, and the tart and sweet dressing was on point. I would definitely recommend.

Jonathon's Oak Cliff is a nice little restaurant that serves pretty good but slightly overpriced food. They have indoor and outdoor seating which was nice with that said the indoor seating arrangements are quite cramped and claustrophobic. Our waiter in particular wasn't all that great and we were a little dissatisfied with the service we received but I did take note that other tables wait staff were a bit more attentive to their sections so I won't hold it against the restaurant. The highlights of our meal where the french fries, the country style potatoes and the biscuits. Honestly I don't know if I will ever revisit Jonathan's butt I think yes I would recommend you giving this place a shot especially if you're into Southern Comfort Foods. Why four stars and not five: a lack of attention from our waiter (Mostly) But also due to the fact there is no good place for a person to wait out of people's way while waiting for a table to become available. *Poor *Decent *Good *Great *Best *JLFoodie Certified Food. Good Service. Decent Cleanliness. Good Consistency. N/A Value. Good I am desperate for your attention so please like, Follow and comment.

Food: 5/5, Environment: 4/5 Environment: This is a small, quaint restaurant in oak cliff that is super adorable! The parking can be difficult depending the time of day however. It isn't very spacious but it's worth the wait. You can also sit outside depending on the Dallas heat. Food: The brunch is on point! I've been here twice and both times were wonderful! The chicken and waffles is super filling and tasty. The Chicken Biscuit however is OUT OF CONTROL! The biscuit is peppered and gives the food a kick you weren't expecting. I'm usually not a fan of gravy at breakfast but the homemade gravy is phenomenal. I was so full and satisfied at the end!

Start by saying we've been to the other location just down the street on Beckley and it was good. We actually started to ear at the place next door called Spiral Bakery even checked in on Yelp then realized it was Vegan only and decided not to wait and headed walked to Jonathan's next door. Tons of people outside on a beautiful Easter Day, I assume people coming after early Church. We waited about 15 minutes so not bad. Seated inside at a very small table next to the window and very close to other people sitting next to us. As you look around you know this place is a local gem, tons of people coming in a the hostess knew them. This is in a small house basically and a bunch of old pictures of the area and Dallas. I still am having a little hard time dealing with the tight quarters and things not being as nice and clean as you would like. Sitting next to the window and 2 flies kept hanging around, so we asked to change tables. With all of that said we you kept seeing the great looking food be carried out the door. When our food arrives it looks great and presented well and everything tasted excellent in my opinion. So in overview if you can deal with a place that's been around as long as they have and know you're going to get a great meal it might be a little cramped and crowded, you might have to deal with the reality is summer time flies since the door is continuously being opened, but with all that you'll get a great meal for a reasonable price head to Jonathan's
